On Thursday, 18 June 2026, a special benefit concert will take place in the magnificent Grand Ballroom of the Haus der Industrie in Vienna. Set within one of the city’s most elegant historic venues, the evening brings together musical refinement, artistic generosity, and a charitable purpose.
The concert is organized independently by Kunst am Nussberg and is open to the public. Net proceeds will benefit Verein HerzKinder, a non-profit organization supporting children with congenital heart disease and their families.
Admission is free, a volontary contribution is strongly encouraged.
Program
Joseph Haydn: Piano Trio in G major, Hob. XV:25, traditionally known as the “Gypsy” Trio
I. Andante
II. Poco adagio. Cantabile
III. Finale. Rondo all’Ongarese: Presto
Sandor Javorkai, violin
Adam Javorkai, violoncello
Anika Vavic, piano
Haydn’s “Gypsy” Trio is one of his most beloved chamber works, combining Classical elegance with vivid rhythmic character. Its famous final movement, the spirited Rondo all’Ongarese, brings the work to a brilliant close with drive, wit, and irresistible momentum.
Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, Op. 58,
in a chamber arrangement for piano and string quartet
I. Allegro moderato
II. Andante con moto
III. Rondo. Vivace
Anika Vavic, piano
Sandor Javorkai, violin
Kristina Suklar, violin
Nikita Gerkusov, viola
Adam Javorkai, violoncello
Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto is among his most poetic and inwardly luminous works. Remarkable for its quiet, almost private opening by the solo piano, it unfolds as an extraordinary dialogue between lyricism, drama, and restraint. In this chamber arrangement for piano and string quartet, the work gains a special transparency, allowing the listener to experience its emotional depth and architectural beauty with unusual immediacy.
We are deeply grateful to the participating artists to support this charitable cause.
Our sincere thanks also go to Steinway & Sons Austria for their generous support in providing the instrument for this evening.

About Verein HerzKinder
Verein HerzKinder supports children, adolescents and adults with congenital heart disease, as well as their families, throughout Austria. For many families, the diagnosis of a heart defect marks the beginning of a long and uncertain journey involving hospital stays, operations, follow-up care and emotional stress. HerzKinder offers guidance, practical help, psychosocial support and a strong network for those affected.
By donating, you help families at a time when medical care alone is not enough. Your support contributes to counselling, family assistance, accommodation close to treatment centres, and the everyday help that gives children with heart disease — and their parents — strength, orientation and hope.

Anika Vavic will perform on a Steinway D concert grand piano, the legendary full-size concert instrument of Steinway & Sons. Renowned for its depth, brilliance, and extraordinary dynamic range, the Steinway D is the instrument of choice on most of the world’s great concert stages and is ideally suited to the intimate yet powerful chamber-music setting of this evening.
We are deeply grateful to Steinway Vienna and to Tobias Schröter, who have generously provided this exceptional concert grand for the VISAR Benefit Concert. Their support makes it possible to present the music in the highest artistic quality and adds a very special Viennese dimension to the evening.
